Sconvolto is the past participle of sconvolgere (to overturn, to devastate) used adjectivally. It describes someone or something thrown into complete disorder — emotionally distraught or physically wrecked. Agrees in gender and number: sconvolta, sconvolti, sconvolte. In informal speech it can mean simply 'blown away' or 'gobsmacked'.
