Usage Note
Entusiasta is an invariable-gender adjective of Greek origin: the singular form is the same for masculine and feminine (un tifoso entusiasta / una tifosa entusiasta). Only the plural changes: entusiasti (m/mixed) and entusiaste (f). This -ista pattern also applies to nouns like il/la pianista.
