Arrabbiato is the past participle of arrabbiarsi (to get angry) used as an adjective. It also names the spicy pasta sauce all'arrabbiata — literally 'in the angry style,' referring to its fiery heat. Agreement is regular: arrabbiata (f), arrabbiati (m pl), arrabbiate (f pl). It is the most natural word for 'angry' in conversational Italian.
