Usage Note

Rabbioso describes intense anger or rage: uno sguardo rabbioso (a furious look). It is stronger than arrabbiato (angry, irritated) and can also describe a rabid animal (un cane rabbioso, a rabid dog) — context distinguishes the two senses. The feminine is rabbiosa, plural rabbiosi/rabbiose.
