Usage Note
Malumore is formed from male (badly) + umore (humour, mood). The phrase essere di malumore ('to be in a bad mood') is the standard construction. Its opposite is buonumore (good mood). The plural malumori can also mean grievances or discontent, especially in a social or political context.
