Usage Note
Intimità is an invariable noun (the accent on the final à fixes the form across number — it has no standard plural). It covers both physical and emotional closeness. The phrase nella propria intimità means 'in one's own private life.' Do not confuse with intimazione (legal notice, ultimatum).
Examples
"Amava l'intimità della loro casa."
Natural Translation
She loved the intimacy of their home.
