Usage Note
Folio refers to a large-format book or manuscript page, most famously the First Folio of Shakespeare's works (il Primo Folio). In Italian publishing and manuscript studies it also denotes a single leaf of a manuscript (folio recto/verso). Do not confuse with foglio ('sheet of paper'), which is the everyday word.
Examples
"Il testo è conservato in un antico folio manoscritto."
Natural Translation
The text is preserved in an ancient manuscript folio.
