Also means
entirety
Usage Note
Totalità is invariable in the plural — le totalità does not change form, but the word is almost always used in the singular with the definite article: la totalità dei casi ('the totality of cases'). This is a formal administrative and statistical term; in everyday speech Italians prefer tutto, l'insieme, or la maggior parte.
Examples
"La totalità dei voti è stata contata."
Natural Translation
The totality of the votes has been counted.
