Usage Note
Sociologo is the masculine form; the feminine is sociologa. The plural forms are sociologi (m) and sociologhe (f) — note the -gh- spelling in the feminine plural to preserve the hard 'g'. It refers to a scholar of sociology (sociologia). Distinguish from psicologo ('psychologist') and antropologo ('anthropologist').
Examples
"Il sociologo ha studiato i comportamenti della comunità."
Natural Translation
The sociologist studied the community's behaviours.
