Also means
non-committal
Usage Note
Qualunquista derives from the post-war Italian political movement Fronte dell'Uomo Qualunque (1944) and describes an attitude of cynical indifference to politics, or an 'every-man-for-himself' outlook that dismisses civic engagement. Today it is used broadly for anyone who shrugs off political responsibility. The adjective is invariable in gender: un atteggiamento qualunquista, una posizione qualunquista.
