prossimo
next
adjective PROS-see-moh Common
Origin: Latin proximus (nearest, next), superlative of prope (near)
Also means
nearest
Usage Note
Prossimo means 'next' in time (la prossima settimana, next week) or space (la prossima fermata, the next stop). When placed before the noun it typically means 'next upcoming'; after the noun it can mean 'nearest' or 'coming up soon'. Note that prossimo refers to the NEXT item from the present moment — Italian speakers do not use it for the week just passed (that is scorso/passato).

Natural Translation

We see-each-other the next week.
