Nutrimento is a somewhat formal or literary term for food as sustenance; the everyday word for food is cibo. Nutrimento emphasises the nourishing function (il nutrimento del corpo e dell'anima = nourishment for body and soul). The plural i nutrimenti exists but is rare.
