Usage Note
Municipale is invariable for gender (one form for m and f), taking only a plural municipali. It describes anything belonging to a comune (municipality): polizia municipale (local police, also called vigili urbani), biblioteca municipale (town library). Learners should not confuse the local polizia municipale with the national Polizia di Stato.
