Metropolitano is the adjective, but its feminine metropolitana doubles as the noun for the underground railway ('the metro'), usually shortened to il metrò. As a four-form adjective it agrees fully: metropolitana, metropolitani, metropolitane. Watch the stress, which falls on the 'ta'.
