meditato

deliberate, premeditated

adjective meh-dee-TAH-toh Rare

Also means

considered, well-thought-out

Usage Note

Meditato is the past participle of meditare used as an adjective, meaning carefully thought through. In legal contexts omicidio meditato is premeditated murder, and in everyday speech una risposta meditata is a measured reply. Unlike English 'meditated', it never implies seated contemplation on its own.

Examples

"Ha dato una risposta meditata e precisa."

Natural Translation
