Usage Note

Interrogativo functions both as a noun ('a big question mark') and as an adjective (punto interrogativo = question mark). As a noun it often signals uncertainty: resta un interrogativo means 'it remains an open question'. Do not confuse with interrogazione, the school oral exam.
