Also means
determination
Usage Note
Grinta is a distinctly Italian word for a fighting spirit, tenacity, or raw determination — closer to 'guts' or 'grit' than mere 'willpower'. It is always feminine (la grinta) and has no plural in this sense. You 'have grinta': avere grinta. An athlete with grinta is a grinder who never gives up. The adjective is grintoso (gritty, determined).
Examples
"Quella squadra ha molta grinta."

That team has a lot of grit.
