Glorioso describes something or someone deserving of glory or great renown: una vittoria gloriosa (a glorious victory), un passato glorioso (a glorious past). It can also carry mild irony in speech, much as English 'glorious' can. The feminine form is gloriosa; plural gloriosi/gloriose. The related noun is gloria (glory, fame).
