Usage Note
Galoppo is the fastest natural gait of a horse. In equestrian contexts, andare al galoppo means to go at a gallop; al gran galoppo (at full gallop) is also used figuratively to mean 'at great speed'. Do not confuse with trotto (trot) or passo (walk).
