anteriore
front
adjective ahn-teh-RYOH-reh Rare
Origin: From Latin anterior, comparative of ante ('before').
Also means
prior
Usage Note
Anteriore describes position (the front part of something: zampe anteriori, 'front legs') or temporal priority (in data anteriore, 'on a prior date'). Its antonym is posteriore. As an adjective it does not change for gender — il dente anteriore / la ruota anteriore — but it takes the plural anteriori.
Examples
"Le ruote anteriori sono consumate."
Natural Translation
The front wheels are worn out.
