Usage Note
Allucinazione is a false friend trap for English speakers: while it does mean 'hallucination', allucinante (the adjective) has drifted colloquially to mean 'mind-blowing' or 'unbelievable', not strictly 'hallucinatory'. The plural is regular: allucinazioni.
Examples
"Aveva allucinazioni per la febbre alta."
Natural Translation
She was having hallucinations from the high fever.
