Usage Note
Venture is used in Italian almost exclusively in the compound venture capital (capitale di rischio) and in business jargon for a startup or risk investment. It is invariable and treated as masculine: il venture. Outside finance contexts, the native Italian word avventura covers the sense of a risky undertaking.
