Usage Note
Abbuono means a deduction or allowance granted to a buyer or competitor — a trade discount, a time bonus in cycling (abbuono di secondi), or a penalty reduction. It is different from abbonamento ('subscription') despite the similar spelling. In cycling, stage winners receive time abbuoni subtracted from their overall time.
