Origin: From Latin 'auditus', past participle of 'audire' (to hear).
Usage Note
Udito is the physiological sense of hearing, one of the five senses (i cinque sensi). Do not confuse it with sentire (to hear/feel) the verb, or l'udienza (a hearing in court). A person with impaired hearing has problemi di udito or is duro d'orecchio colloquially.
