Usage Note
Ubriaco is the standard word for 'drunk' and can also be used as a noun (un ubriaco = a drunk). The feminine is ubriaca. It pairs with essere when describing a state: è ubriaco fradicio (he is blind drunk, literally 'soaking drunk'). A more formal synonym is ebbro, which is largely literary.
Examples
"È ubriaco e non riesce a camminare."
