Usage Note
Tritare means to chop, mince, or grind food finely — tritare la carne (to mince meat), tritare l'aglio (to chop garlic). The past participle tritato is used as an adjective: carne tritata (minced meat). A tritacarne is a meat mincer and a tritatutto (literally 'chop-everything') is a food processor.
