Usage Note
Tocco refers to a light touch or stroke and also to a distinctive finishing touch: il tocco finale (the finishing touch). It can denote the stroke of a clock (il tocco = one o'clock). In art it describes a brushstroke. Do not confuse with tacco (heel of a shoe). The plural is i tocchi.
