Usage Note

Terrazza is a roof terrace or large outdoor platform on a building. It is slightly larger and more open than a balcone (balcony). A terrazzo (m) is the same word in masculine form and also refers to the polished-stone flooring material known in English as 'terrazzo.' The plural is le terrazze.
