Usage Note

Stressati is the masculine plural adjective (from stressato, past participle of stressare, itself borrowed from English 'stress'). The feminine plural is stressate. It describes people feeling overwhelmed or under pressure: sono stressati ('they are stressed'). As a past participle it also forms compound tenses with avere: li ha stressati ('it stressed them out').
