Usage Note
Social is an English loanword used in Italian almost exclusively to mean 'social media' (noun/adjective): i social = social media platforms, una campagna social = a social-media campaign. Unlike most English loanwords it is invariable — no Italian plural ending is added. Formal Italian prefers i social network or i media sociali, but social dominates everyday speech.
