sfilare

to parade, to march in procession

verb sfee-LAH-reh Rare

Also means

to pull out, to unthread

Usage Note

Sfilare most often describes a procession or fashion-show runway walk: la sfilata is the noun form and refers specifically to a fashion show or parade. As a second sense it means to thread something back out — the opposite of infilare (to thread in). Uses avere as auxiliary.

Examples

"Le modelle sfilano sulla passerella."

Natural Translation
