Usage Note

Safari is invariable in Italian — il safari, i safari — like other foreign loanwords ending in a stressed vowel. It refers both to a wildlife expedition and, attributively, to the safari aesthetic: moda safari, giacca safari. The compound parco safari (drive-through wildlife park) is common in Italian leisure contexts.
