Usage Note

Rosario is masculine (il rosario, pl. i rosari). It refers both to the string of beads and to the devotional prayer practice. The phrase recitare il rosario means 'to say the rosary'. In informal use, un rosario di can mean 'a string of' (complaints, insults, etc.).
