Usage Note
Romantico covers both the emotional sense ('romantic, full of sentiment') and the historical-artistic movement of Romanticism. As a noun, un romantico means a romantic person or a Romantic-era artist. The feminine form is romantica, plural romantici/romantiche. Note that romanzo (novel, romance story) is a related but distinct noun; romantico is never used to mean 'a novel.'
Examples
