rilassato

relaxed

adjective ree-lahs-SAH-toh Rare

Also means

laid-back

Usage Note

Rilassato is the past participle of rilassare used as an adjective, so it agrees in gender and number: rilassata, rilassati, rilassate. It describes a calm, unstressed state of body or mind, and is commonly used after essere or sentirsi ('to feel'). Don't confuse it with pigro (lazy) — being rilassato is a positive quality.

Examples

"Dopo la vacanza mi sento molto rilassato."

Natural Translation

After the holiday I feel very relaxed.

Literal Translation

After the holiday to-me I-feel very relaxed.
