Psicologo is the masculine form; the feminine is psicologa. It refers to a licensed mental health professional. Note that in Italy a psicologo cannot prescribe medication — only a psichiatra (psychiatrist, a medical doctor) can. The plural gli psicologi follows the standard -go/-gi pattern for masculine nouns ending in -go.
