noun PAHK-koh Less Common

Also means

parcel

Usage Note

Pacco is a masculine noun (il pacco, plural i pacchi). It denotes a parcel, package, or bundle: spedire un pacco (to send a parcel). In informal Italian, fare un pacco a qualcuno means to cheat or swindle someone. The irregular plural pacchi (not pacci) follows the -co/-chi pattern because the -c precedes a back vowel in the singular.

Examples

"Ho ricevuto un pacco dalla nonna."

Natural Translation

I received a package from my grandmother.
