Usage Note

Oratoriana is the feminine form of oratoriano, referring to the Congregation of the Oratory, the Catholic religious institute founded by St. Philip Neri in Rome in the sixteenth century. It describes things or people connected with that congregation — la spiritualità oratoriana (Oratorian spirituality). Outside Catholic ecclesiastical contexts the word is virtually unused.
