Usage Note
Oggi means 'today' and, in a broader sense, 'nowadays' or 'these days' (oggi si usa molto internet = 'nowadays the internet is used a lot'). The phrase a partire da oggi means 'from today onwards'. Unlike ieri, it can also function as an invariable noun: l'oggi ('the present day').
