Neoavanguardia refers to the post-WWII literary and artistic movements in Italy (and internationally) that renewed avant-garde experimentation — most famously the Italian literary group Gruppo 63. It is feminine and invariable in the plural (le neoavanguardie). The word is typically used in academic and art-critical discourse rather than everyday speech.
