Usage Note

Mimetico derives from mimetismo (mimicry, camouflage) and describes something designed to blend into its surroundings — camouflage clothing (tuta mimetica), camouflage pattern (verde mimetico), or an animal's mimetic coloring. The plural is mimetici (m) / mimetiche (f).
