Usage Note
Magnifico is used both literally (un palazzo magnifico = a magnificent palace) and as enthusiastic praise in conversation. Lorenzo de' Medici was famously called il Magnifico. Like all adjectives ending in -co/-ca, the plural is magnifici (m pl) and magnifiche (f pl) — note the h to preserve the hard 'k' sound.
