Usage Note
Licenziante is the legal party who grants a licence (licenza), contrasted with licenziatario (the licensee). It appears mainly in contracts and intellectual-property law. The word is also the present participle of licenziare (to dismiss/to license), but as a standalone noun it always means the licensing party.
