Usage Note
Indiretto agrees in gender and number: indiretto/a/i/e. In grammar, complemento indiretto (indirect object) and discorso indiretto (reported/indirect speech) are standard school terms. In tax law, imposta indiretta (indirect tax, e.g. VAT) is contrasted with imposta diretta (income tax). The adverb is indirettamente.
