Usage Note

Incentrare takes avere in transitive use but is most commonly encountered as the reflexive incentrarsi su ('to be centred on / to revolve around'): il dibattito si incentra sulla riforma fiscale ('the debate centres on tax reform'). It is formal and typical of academic or journalistic registers; everyday speech prefers concentrarsi su.
