Impassibile describes a person who shows no emotion or reaction even in difficult circumstances — stoic or expressionless. It does not inflect for gender (un volto impassibile / una donna impassibile) but pluralises to impassibili. It is a formal, literary word; everyday speech might use freddo or indifferente for a similar idea.
