Usage Note

Ideologia refers to a system of ideas or beliefs, especially political. The plural is ideologie. The adjective ideologico ('ideological') and the noun ideologo (m) / ideologa (f) ('ideologist') derive from it. In Italian political discourse, l'ideologia di partito ('party ideology') is a common collocation.
