Usage Note
Esaurimento means the state of being used up or depleted — of resources (esaurimento delle scorte = stock depletion) or of a person (esaurimento nervoso = nervous breakdown/burnout). The latter is a very common colloquial phrase. The verb is esaurire, which takes avere in compound tenses.
