Epico describes works or events of heroic, grand scale — used for literary epics (poema epico) and colloquially for anything impressively large or dramatic. The feminine is epica; the plural epici/epiche. As a noun, l'epica means the epic genre. Do not confuse with epopea (an epic poem or saga).
