Usage Note

Ebraico refers to the Hebrew language (la lingua ebraica) or to Jewish cultural/religious identity. As a noun l'ebraico means 'Hebrew' (the language). It is distinct from israeliano (Israeli nationality) — a Jew need not be Israeli and vice versa.
